I keep seeing stories pop up that the fans and maybe even the front office in Philly might be ready to part ways with McNabb. I have even seen a couple times that they mention letting McNabb go and signing Schaub. I've never really cared for McNabb, but that could be because I hate the Eagles! If we could swing a deal, I think it would be a great move. I doubt it would happen, but what do you all think? And what do you think it would take to make it happen?

2 potential benefits to this:
1.  Maybe we would finally win the Cambell's Chunky "Click for Cans" competition
2.  He can mentor Grads in the finer points of Football Vomiting

I don't see him going anywhere ... they don't have another option like Jax.  They ain't gonna trade/release him without someone waiting in the wings who has proven themselves.  Schuab is still an unknown - plus it doesn't look like Atl is going to let him walk away that easy with all their Vick issues right now.

Why would the Eagles trade or release a winning QB?  His contract is structured to make them restructure in three years time, and if the got rid of him now the dead cap space would be more than his 2007 salary.  At 30 years old he is still has many productive years in the tank.

McNabb is going nowhere, even amongst the fickle Eagle fans, he has years left to foul up before they let him go.  The man is a stud.

They'll cut him.  McNaab is like Vick, except he has class, toughness, brains, can pass as well as run, isn't contagious, and has true leadership qualities...

on second thought....

No, smart ass, you don't. Only the logo you say we should cheer for.

Apparently you don't know me & are absolutely, positively wrong. I love this team to death. I don't like how it's playing or being run--into the ground.  There are way too many mistakes being made.

Sorry, must have been confused when I read you telling some one 3 posts above  that there is only the logo he says you and he should cheer for. I was under the impression folks wouldn't have to to be told to cheer for their team. My bad

IF they're stupid enough to cut or trade him I'd hope we'd make a move for him. I don't like him but the guy is a stud.

Agreed. He is the exception among the running QBs of his generation: he would still be a good QB if he didn't have all that speed.  And he's in his prime.

Injuries are becoming a concern. though.
