NOTABLE CUTS:
QB Chris Simms- will be the only player released before pre-season begins, when Bucs realize they can't get nothing for him

QB Bruce Gradkowski-enters the pre-season as the #4 QB, he doesn't make the squad.

WR Ike Hilliard- Bucs cut him after 3rd pre-season game.  They keep him around to see if Bryant is solid; Bryant proves to have his act together and Hilliard gets raw deal, as Clayton and Stovall have other qualities as blocking and special teams play.

OG Dan Buenning- sort of a suprise cut.  Buenning was good for us his rookie year, but the drafting of back to back guards was the writing on the wall for him.  Davis could play guard, as well as Newberry and Pettigout if needed.

DE Patrick Chuckwurah- The Bucs brought in replacements and his injury plaqued season didn't help his cause

DE Jimmy Wilkerson-theres a clause in his contract that gives him a bonus if he makes team.  He's starting out down a notch and the Bucs having 5 better DEs doesn't help his cause.

DT Greg Peterson- he didn't dress towards the middle to end of last year.  I do think the Bucs will try to keep him on the p/s however.
LBs Adam Hayward/Matt McCoy/Leon Joe- LBs that didn't make the cut.

CB Torrie Cox-known for his special teams, but the drafting of a CB makes him expandable.

Wow -- 0 for 5 on your draft-  be VERY surprised if we take any of those players and HIGHLY doubt we trade our best prospect at QB for a 5th round draft choice.  A swing and a MISS.---WOW

LOL....As soon as I read Darrell Jackson I thought and knew that Ike Hilliard would make him expendable.

If you don't like Ike you're foolish, he only dropped 2 passes on 3rd down last season and found himself wide open in the middle of the field all year long.

I'd take that Joe Jurevicous type production over Darrell Jackson's garbage anyday.

i like Hilliard myself.  He's Mr. 3rd down.

But if we add another WR and Bryant pans out...what good will Ike do us?

I personally feel Bryant has a good chance to be a Boston anyway, so I still feel Ike will hang around as our 3rd option; but just saying if Bryant plays to his potential...he's better then Ike..

and Darrell Jackson is a good player.  Check out his stats with Hasselbeck as his QB.  he didnt do good last year, but I dont think Ike Hilliard himself would have great numbers with Dilfer, Smith, and Hill chucking him the ball...

Martz probably didn't want stonehands Darrell Jackson for his offense.

Notice how he's kept all Gator WR's far away from his pass happy offense. I guess we've shown the NFL more than just the Tampa 2. Unfortunetly it's the "Gainseville WR Ewwww"!
