I'd lean toward Perkins because of his dogmatic wannabe Bear Bryant personality.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Well, they were all the three worst coaches ever, record wise and otherwise.
"Mr. 19-41" Perkins, 4-28 for Bennett and 3-13 for Williamson.
But, no one mentioned that they were back to back to back coaches of the BUCS. Thank you Hugh!

The BUCS are gonna surprise people this year!

Bennett gets my vote, only because, at least Perkins and Williamson went on to be employed in football. Bennett was selling RVs when he got the call from Hugh (that SHOULD have been the 1st hint that we were getting screwed), and went on to sell cars after he left here.

Since you guys have rightfully worn out my initial selection in Ray Perkins, I'm going to go with two coaches who never belonged here in Tampa Bay...

Greg Burns and Jethro Franklin!

Hard to argue those two schmucks!!!

Without Carl Nix it feels like our running game just took a death blow to the face!

No votes for Dungy and his inability to beat the Eagles with a more talented team?

The way I've always heard it was Williamson sucked but he was a cool cat.  Ray was a jerk from day one and is still a jerk today and he sucked...

Ray gets my vote for sho!!!

When I read the thread title Williamson was the first to come to mind but you make a great case for Perkins IMHO.

Two things I remember about Perkins that makes him number one. a) He admistted he consulted the stars for decisions. b) He moved the Bucs to the east side of the field, facing the sun to make them tough.

Leeman Bennett - hands down. He was selling used cars when Culverhouse "rediscovered" him.

I remember when they fired him after consecutive 2-14 seasons, he was shocked, because up to that point, he had been told that the Press Conference that announced his termination was going to be an announcement that he was getting another year.

The Bucs weren't just bad under Bennett - they were some of the worst football teams ever to take the field and began a decade long oddessy of ineptness that may never be duplicated again.
