Free Agent OLB: Lance Briggs, Cato June, or Adalius Thomas

It is very likely that the Bucs will pursue one of these backers to start for us immediately.  Briggs is straight-awesome, but could be the most sought after defensive player in the UFA market . . . meaning that he'd be looking for a ridiculous contract.  June is a great tackler for his size, and would fit perfectly in our system - hell, he has more interceptions then our starting safeties combined the past two years!  Thomas is a star in the making, and is a complete player.

Which would you choose?

Briggs.  He is the youngest of the 3 players and I think he is a more complete player than June (only stat he trails June on in last 3 years is interceptions 6 vs. 9).  Thomas might be the most valuable player to his team of the three this year but he is also the oldest (will be 30 next year).   I think Briggs could come in and play strongside LB for 1 year or start right away at weakside forcing Brooks to move to strongside or retire (both statements I really have a hard time stating given Brooks' impact on this organization).

Since Briggs is going to be pricy, I say June.  We need to get the most good players for our money, not one great one.
