Moffitt wouldn't make it to the final roster with the Bucs IMO.

Moffitt will not make it in the NFL. He's too slow for most defenses, I could see him excelling in special teams, but why would you want to draft a 3rd/4th string linebacker. Wasting a pick when you can get someone just as productive after the draft is over just doesn't make too much sense.

If we must pick a LB Jameel McClain from Syracuse or Wesley Woodyard from Kentucky would be a lot better suited for this defense. Both of those two can more than likely be had with our 4th or 5th round picks.

Chris Colmer couldn't have said it better.

I guess everyone was watching an entirely different USF season than I was the past 3 years, because that dude was in on just about every tackle and was in the QB's face on many occasions. That's ok, I will pass out many more "I told ya so's" with him just like I was able to do with Adrian Peterson and Vince Young.  ;)

Now I will agree that we don't have a huge need at LB, but I was speaking of adding future depth for when Brooks retires in a year or two.

Wasn't that you last year saying Nece is better than Cato June?  Boy, you got us on that one. ;)

I don't think I have ever brought up Nece's name because he's one of the last players I pay any attention to, so please feel free to pull up that direct quote or otherwise...............

Sorry BTown, just thought you were one of those trying to fire off ignorant sarcastic comments just for the heck of it, instead of just trying to have a civilized open discussion about Ben Moffitt.

round 1. Hes a baller. Because all that matters is how you do in college. Ask Eric Crouch

No that's not all that matters, but if you sucked in college that would be 10 times worse and you would never hear your name called even if there were 15 rounds. And anyone that thinks Moffit sucked in college is either mentally retarded or haven't watched one USF game in the past 3-4 years.  ::)

No one thinks he sucks, its just that college doesnt mean it translate straight over. Guys like Dixon, Andre Woodson etc would be top 15 picks if it did.

It's not that there isn't any love for Moffit, we just don't need a LB this year...
