I'm in a QB driven league. I pick number one overall this year because I had Tom Brady last year and as everyone knows he crashed and burned in game one (in our league worst finisher picks first).   Here's my question: Would you go with Brady this year or shy away from him because he's coming off the injury.  His track record, supporting cast and seemingly quick recovery are making me wonder if he might be viable.

If Cassel can do what he did with that group, then a healthy Brady should be fine.

This will be one of the most interesting picks in all of our drafts.
We should reopen this thread after our drafts and list where exactly Brady was picked.

Turn the page.

No not a keeper league. Our QB's get points based on how long the TD is.. So a 60 yrd bomb is worth about 12 pts. For example, at the end of last year Brees was the highest scoring QB with about 370 pts. The highest scoring RB was D'Angelo Williams with only 259 pts. So it works out better if you can get a top 5 QB. I'm hoping Brady will be one of them.

What is your scoring system if a QB is going #1 overall or are all the top RBs/WRs gone through keepers?

Yeah, but what is the difference between say the top 1 or 2 QBs and say 9 or 10 versus the difference betweed the top few RBs and say 19 or 20.

Brady will be a steal for some people this year. He will def be taken very early in some leagues but in others some will be scared of his year off and will take another player. Prolly a rb. So if you are in the mid first round and you see Brady there, consider it a steal.

There are few formats in which any QB is a "steal" in the mid first round.

I would consider using a mid first on Brady under the following conditions:

2 QB league
Scoring system that overvalues QBs
Brees is already gone

You should take Peterson with the 1st overall pick.

Considering in my league, TD's for QB's get the same points as any other position = 6, I would take Brady first pick in the draft.

There are a ton of good fantasy QBs. You shouldn't be considering one in the 1st round, let alone #1 overall. Take Peterson and all his 100 yard games.
