Those of you with a PI next to your name go & read--SR said Gruden & Allen are a package deal. And there is no freaking way Gruden goes to college!! Wow, keep the camera off him at a college game. I don't think the screaming, yelling, & Chuckie faces would play well in college. OK, Bruce is just Jon's sock puppet.Ask SR if he thinks Gruden doesn't have something to say about everything! Next year we'll see who's sharper. Jon was only here a year before he got Bruce here--accidental?
PI should be PI, but yes, that was noted by SR. In his opinion they are a package.
But that doesn't mean he goes down the day Jon does, there would be some lag time. And with the way he's managed the cap, it may be more him wanting to leave with Jon than the Glazers booting him, that was never made clear. I would think the Glazers would want him around, he's done an excellent job with caps in the past, he's also an excellent negotiator.
It was also mentioned that he is Not Jon's Lap-Dog, that's just Karen's opinion.
Him coming here also had a good amount to do with the issues between McKay and Gruden. Gruden wanted more input into player decisions (and we'd have westbrook instead of walker if he had had that input), and the the Glazers agreed he should have that, while McKay wouldn't let go. So that he has that input now is something the glazers felt appropriate, perhaps after watching years of McKay draft disasters....
All coaches have something to say about everything. How much they're listened to, how much weight is given, differs. That they work well together as a team should be a bonus, not an indictment.
As for Jon not getting a HC job, LMFAO, he'd be the first one hired. Fans are emotionally reacting to this year, but he still has a great rep around the league. There are going to be at least 2 clear openings. And there are coaches who are barely hanging onto their job next season and Jon's availability would push them into unemployment.
