LATEST ON BUCS SUN 12/17 HARD ROCK CAFE GET TOGETHER...

Okay guys.  Here's what I found out.  The area I've been speaking of is called JOE's BAR.  Enter at the Casino entrance ( not the Hotel check in entrance to left).  Follow the wall right past Players Club and you'll see part of the bar which is set back.  This visit I saw that the back seats are actually a long banquette with cafe tabes and chairs for threesome or friendly foursome.  I spoke to the manager.  If I get there at noon, they will allows me to reserve seats etc.  So I'm going to put left over Pewter Party tags from our summer get together on tables and chairs.
I saw ashtrays, therefore.......Re kids.  They are allowed in the bar area with parent/s but not in casino area.  Duh. On Bucs game days a lot of fans come so it should be a lot of fun to meet new folks too.

This sports area is due to be demolished after football season is over and turned into a steak house.  So that's that. speaking of food.  They have a food court with hamburger/hot dogs; cool sandwich salad shop; something spanish; something pizza; and chinese; and finally if the logo of cows and skys is Ben and Jerry's, one of them!

I hate smoke but I'll put up with for this one meeting.  I, for one, would love to find OUR PEWTER REPORT SPOT and have some ideas I'll run by y'all later.

I'll do a final countdown to reserve spots on both sites so I can reserve seats etc.

Finally, Hard Rock Cafe is on I-4 and Hillsborough Avenue...or you can just go down Hillsborough Avenue and turn right when you see it.  Lots of parking.  No problemo.

Let's all have a good time together.  I'd like to know a lot of you better than I do.  Let me know if I forgot anything or if anyone needs a ride, group hug, box of tissues or some quarters for the machines (NOT).  LOL.

I checked it out at lunchtime but got tied up with work this afternoon so I didn't report back.  That area was meant to be a Vegas style sports-book, but it obviously hasn't taken off in Tampa.  I noticed the ashtrays but there was no "21 and Over" signs.  It will do for a one off, and if the game sucks there is a Poker room.

Actually, it's the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. There is no Hard Rock Cafe at that location.

Did you hear the Seminole Nation  bought the entire Hard  Rock co?

Karen:  Yes.  I did hear that.  Several years ago, I met an interesting Seminole man who took me on a private tour of the Miccosukee Reservation.  They were breeding beef like the Japanese Kobe beef; had started hydrpondic gardening; and were growing organic unusual lherbs and veggies for high end restaurants.  I leaned that they have a fantastic art school in Oklahoma for their kids too.  They breed horses and of course build tikis.  They seem like a smart and inudstrious group who are aware of who they are and what they want.  It was very impressive.  My friend was an ex-actor who played an indian in almost every western there was for about 30 years while living in Brooklyn, NY with his Jewish agent and his wife as their "son".  The Seminoles have some very astute financial advisors in Miami who manage pension funds for large corporations etc.  i think they know how to get good advice and then take it.

Have fun with your overpriced drinks.  If thats the place inside the casino it really isn't the best place to meet unless you are going to gamble.  But if you like poker thats the place to go, except that they take a nice chunk out of the winnings.
