Welcome to the boards, Indiana.

I love the move.  We're keeping what worked, and throwing away what didn't.  Simms is next....?

im going to miss gradkowski..i mean we all knew he would eventually be cut...but idk what it is...

lol anyway....who gets cut at TE.....Troupe or Gilmore?  Im guessing Gilmore.

Gilmore was brought in to block which is a varying degree of weakness for the other 3. I think Gilmore is as safe as any of them and I think they wanted 4 TE's all along.

Guess Grads had no trade value.  I am glad we resigned Stephens as he kept his end of the bargin by staying clean and having a productive season.

The 5th QB for TC was the first thought that popped in my head as well. It's historically been more of an afterthought kind of guy. We'll probably pick up some guy just looking for a TC opportunity.

Grads was quoted in the Trib today saying "You get to the point where you wonder if there are too many quarterbacks to have an opportunity to compete,". No need to worry anymore, Grads.
I hope he catches on somewhere else.

PFT kills me.  They say we should face strong critism because we keep employing Jerramy Stevens...

I guess its a double standard.  They call the Cowboys who get guys like Tank Johnson and PacMan Jones and call it a "rehabilitation/giving them a 2nd chance"....but we sign some drunk TE who was productive for us last year and we should get harped for it...

these guys are football players, they arent the nicest people all the time....for every Derrick Brooks there is 5 jerks...

It sounds like Grads may have asked for his release and Bruce did the right thing and gave it to him. purely speculation but if he hasn't been getting reps in OTAs he probably could see he wasn't going to make the cut and would like to get signed on with someone else now so he could at least have a shot. As far as trade value for him that is laughable.

He was excellent when he had a running game. More deserving of a roster spot than Griese.

And oh yea, if they keep 4 TEs Graham is gone.

PewterReport.com is reporting that Stevens signed a one-year deal worth $700,000 (league minimum) with no signing bonus. Here's the story: http://pewterreport.com/articles/view/4223

Good moves.  Stevens showed he could produce in this system last season, and Grads was on a slippery slope with 29 QBs ahead of him.

Agree, no way Gradz > Griese, and I'm not a big Griese fan. But, I do feel 20 times better if our season falls into his hands than I would if it were Gradz again.
