It's a fine comparison.  People are overrating Penn's play on the field just as they did Garcia's.

People overrated Garcia's play???
Yeah, we won almost every game Garcia started, but were 3-13 without him.  Good Call.

Just reported on NFLN as being on Sirius radio.

EDIT:
"If it doesn’t work itself out, if a contract is not presented as far as a renewal to finish my career, then I will seriously think about what my alternate options may be, and it may come to not playing football anymore.”

“I feel like when you mistreat people there comes a time when it doesn’t matter how much you are paid, it’s going to lead to some drastic decisions,”

“It would be really difficult to go through this season and not have something done before the season,” Garcia said. “I would like to see the appreciation put out there.”

Link in Chaz's post.

Not finding any links yet. He said something along the lines of lack of respect forcing drastic decisions. I'm not sure, I've got CRS.

Bye.

I think this is a ploy by Garcia to raise the issue.

Then again he may mean it.....or he was jealous of the attention Stevens was generating. :o

All you can do here is... just laugh. If Griese starts, we'll be looking at a top 10 draft pick. If McCown can't make strides, were even in more trouble because that means were probably drafting a QB.

If he's at all seriously thinking about it, he should do it.  In fact, I almost would rather this season "go down in flames" (worse case scenario for the sky is falling folks) if it would set this team on the path to establishing a legitimate long term starting (McCown, draft pick, whatever).

Now, the better question is. Are the fans and the media ready for some growing pains? Hum.....
