Raef LaFrentz contracts will get you a scroing SF... it wont get you a center. That says enough. This Portland VC trade all Portland gives up is LaFrentz contract Sergio and Travis Outlaw... role players. Every SF trade Portland is involved with would just involve BENCH players for a starting scoring SF. What does that say about how the NBA values SF?
Or certain NBA teams valuing $$$$ over costly, older players.

I didn't say it would be a bad trade....I think it would be good for Portland, if they don't care about the $$, which it looks like they don't.
I was just saying, you can't use that as proof that a SF is easy to come by....it's just the current state of the NBA. Chandler was basically given away, and he isn't exactly a small guy.
