I didn't say he should be fired--Ithink he needs help with stuff he's not good at--like personnel stuff.  Being a good HC doesn't make him a good "people person."

Being a "people person" doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with being in charge of player personnel in the NFL.

If Gruden is fired why not promote Doug to HC. He is well respected and by the players. I think he would be a good coach here and would love to see that happen.

Is that really a promotion? I think going from a personnel exec to head coach is actually a step back on the FO tree.

Good that you think he needs help - I would agree and suspect that is the reason for the existance of the scouting staff, Front Office team, a responsibility to the coaches and perhaps the discussion of potential draftees and FAs with the players themselves.
