And Rowdie - not saying the buccs didn't care - for for many years our favorite was inept is so many positions no one could impress. Right now three qbs were in place that have been somewhat effective imvho - Doug Williams, Brad Johnson and Jeff Garcia. None were better than NFL average for the buccaneers - a combination of their ability and the talent around them let them reach that level here. The rest - either weren't all that, or played at the wrong time. Best of the rest - Steve Deberg... just saying...
I've got to think he was including Steve Young as one they didn't keep and build around.

Yeah, You think maybe steve young should get some luv?  Of course he should.

Again, just because the state of the bucs ship didn't make it immediately evident the tallent of any given member of the team doesn't mean that team member was suddenly less talented.  So making some kind of arguement that the team sucked so it was hard to tell has no effect on my take.
