In a statement released by the league today Commissioner Roger Goodell today informed the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings that he had completed his review of tampering charges filed by the Packers against the Vikings and found no violations of league policy.

In his letter to the Packers and Vikings, Commissioner Goodell said that, while those involved acknowledged conversations between Brett Favre and Vikings coaches, “None of those conversations suggest that Favre was soliciting a job or that other teams were soliciting his services.”

I agree with the Commissioner - it was strictly coincidence that Favre wanted to play there after the Pack said no to his return...  ouch - my nose is growing...

This had all the makings up a setup. Favre talking to the Vikes knowing GB wouldn't do anything, which could only lead to Minny being penalized. Remember all those games that Minny got rooked against GB? Several. About time the Commish simply said 'Move along.'
