If Garcia keeps playing this way it would be hard to believe that Garcia would receive less than Simms can command in free agency.

In terms of a total package I don't see a lot of teams signing Garcia to a long term deal. Simms will likely get a decent long term offer.

I can not imagine a team offering Simms a long term deal considering his situation (spleen) and inexperience.
ADW,
Tonight on 620 Simms said that it was a 2 year offer and that they were very close on what they wanted and what the Bucs were offering and that he wanted to stay in Tampa. Said he really liked having Hackett and Gruden as his QB coach and that he had close friends and great teammates on the Bucs. Sounded like he is trying very hard to stay in Tampa and like it was going to happen.

Simms will be seeing a lot of 1 to 2 year offers by many teams most likely.
It would be hard for any team to offer a longer deal due to his injury and them not knowing how he is going to perform once he gets back on the field.  You don't want to tie up a lot of money on a player that has a lot of question marks like he is going to have.

Truths:
1.  Never have an argument with an idiot.  They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
2.  For some it would be better if they remained silent and be thought a fool than to speak and erase all doubt.

He has to say he wants to play in tampa to play both sides of the fence.  He is looking for the bucs to offer him real money of more than 3 million a year for 2 years.  He is looking for 6-10 million a year for 5 or more years.

He didn't indicate anything like that on the radio.  Where did you get that info?

Well all players look for more money and longer deals.  Sure his agent could be using the Bucs as leverage to increase his value to other teams that possibly may be pursuing him.

But a long term deal looks highly unlikely.
