I don't get all the furore that has arisen from the opening ceremony. I thought it was one of the most amazing spectacles I'd ever seen in my life and hats off to the Chinese for putting on a breathtaking ceremony.

Its the whole culture of karaoke, American Idol, etc.... Its all glitz, and no one appreciates something with substance that takes years to nurture and perfect. I'm glad someone called non specific waste matter on it.
