Petitgout suspended?

One day the Tampa Bay Bucs release offensive tackle Luke Petitgout; the next the NFL notifies Petitgout that he will be suspended the first four games of the 2008 season. The league hasn't said why, but you have to wonder if that didn't factor into Petitgout's release. Yeah, I know Petitgout tore his ACL last year and didn't pass the team's physical. But you can't tell me the Bucs didn't know this was in the works. Not sure what happened here, but am sure you won't be seeing Petitgout for the first four games of the year ... anywhere. Petitgout is eligible to sign with another club and participate in preseason practices and preseason games, but once the 53-man roster is set, his suspension takes place.

First off, hi, Australian Bucs fan checking in here, been reading the board for quite a while and I like the level of debate here, lots of good football knowledge.

As for the link above, what do you guys think - hoax report or has Petitgout been up to some thing naughty? If so, the FO must have known about it when they released him.

Well it's at CBS Sportsline so I assume it's legit, and even if it is, I'm surprised. Haven't heard anything about Petigout being up to some thing and it might've been a factor in his release but he wouldn't be a starter here anyway.
