About my changes:

I think Hilliard/Clayton/Stovall are all on the bubble, best two keep their jobs and I haven't really seen much that seperates them right now. I don't think Clifton Smith would clear waivers and he's a better returner than Spurlock, Dexter Jackson will be our PR and secondary KR. The team is really high on Geno Hayes, but I don't see them keeping 7 LBs, either he hits the PS or the team chooses between McCoy and Hayward. This frees up a spot to keep Donte Nicholson, I'd rather have 4 safties considering the odds of injury at the position that we've suffered almost every year. Lastly, according to sources when Raheem Morris went to scout Leodis McKelvin at Troy he was over heard asking "who's that guy" while watching Elbert Mack run thru drills. I think Mack sticks for the same reason Clifton does, they've played too well to clear waivers. Besides, Sammy Davis has not shown us a thing.

Unless it's been determined that Adam Heyward can play Mike....which I haven't seen.....then McCoy or Cash will be on the roster.

Nicholson I'm not sure of. Will Allen is an excellent special teams coverage guy and he may replace Pearson as a guy who rarely plays his "position" but is talented enough on STs to stick on the roster.

Maybe. But you've read the PI articles about what they're trying to do so lets see what happens. That being said, I don't think he's shown more than any other young QB this preseason that would make him that hot a commodity to another team.

Stovall is 23 and he was one of the top special teams players in the league last year.

Well I originally thought Clayton has a chance to get cut us well and you are right Stovall is good on special teams, but what does him being 23 have to do with anything?  Wasn’t Alan Zemietis young when they cut him?  Heck, Bruce Gradkowski isn’t all that old.  The guy could be 14 years old for all I care….if he can’t beat out a bust in Michael Clayton, an old geezer in Ike Hilliard, or a guy that hasn’t played since 2006 in Antonio Bryant….what good is it to us that he is young?

Clayton is 25...Should he be the one that gets cut?  Should we cut Hilliard who showed he is still dependable?  Or should we keep 6-7 WRs when only 2 will contribute in any way....haha give me a break man.  Either Clayton or Stovall are going to be cut, but I agree Stovall does have the special teams thing going for him

Douglas over Carter,  (younger, more disruptive)
Will Allen over Wilson, (solid ST player)
Mack over Wilson, (looks like he's got very good ball skills, instinctive)
Clayton over Troupe, (better blocker)
Stevens over Troupe,  (better receiver)
Peterson over Moore, (Peterson looks quicker than last year, Moore looks sadly out of shape)
Hayes over Moore (Hayes looks very quick; S/B a ST demon)

Probably getting reps just to see if he is indeed the guy. I can't see a spot on the team for him, with DJax being the returner and not really playing WR, the team might be thin there.

NotDeadYet, Not bad….I do think that Eugune Wilson makes the squad tho and that we will keep more than 4 cornerbacks.  Also  surprised if Carter gets cut considering he is the starter currently.  I heard Greg White has been disappointing in camp and then Douglas regulated to playing with 4th stringers can’t mean they are too high on him.

I agree with you guys regarding Michael Spurlock.  I feel that if Dexter Jackson isn’t going to be used as an offensive weapon for us, why not make him the returner, but I think after the first 2 games Spurlock is still the returner.  I won’t be surprised at all if he’s cut though.  Also be surprised if Clifton Smith made it.  He looked good, but he isn’t doing anything earth shattering to warrant a spot on the team.  We kept 3 backs at the start of last season, only to bring guys up and I’m sure we can sneak Smith on the practice squad.  Remember there are players on 31 other teams that are also impressing and probably more so then Josh Johnson or Clifton Smith so let’s not be so worried they will get plucked off practice squads.

3. Dre Moore. I dunno. We're desperate at DT but he better show something soon.

 Ã‚   I see Clayton as a good downfield blocker, which for me translates to: he has more value than Ben Troupe as a 4th TE.
 Ã‚   So far Clifton Smith actually looks better to me than Dexter as a PR, although Dexter apparently still has hammy problems. If
those problems persist, I'd rather have Smith around as Spurlock isn't that solid as a PR; better at KR.
And, vs. the Pats, Smith led our ST's in tackles.
