Colts game in 2003, we were ahead 21-0 at halftime.. And let them comeback and win.. First I wanted to beat Dungy, but also it led to Jurevicuis gettting hurt and instead of being 3-1 we fell to 2-2 and the season was doomed after that game.. I think that was a playoff team still.. But we ended up 7-9..

The problem with the '79 team is that they were gonna play the Pittsburgh Steelers. That team wasn't, most likely, gonna win vs that club whereas 99 I think had a great shot at whacking the Titans.

yeah that Colts game killed us.....Also the 1st Panthers game where we missed that extra point at the end for the win.

We can change either of them, most importantly, the Colts game...we would still have Lynch, etc. and would have been in the playoffs.  Would have changed the teams chrisma.

Totally concur Skipper.  The most gut-wrenching part of that game is that we could not have had any better coverage on Proehl on that TD.  I still refuse to re-watch that game.

Yeah, Proel doesn't make that catch and we have 2 titles now.. I believe, also Gruden would not of been here in 2002 if we won that game in 1999..

The 2002 team just alone on defense that year, could of won the title anyways again..

Cannot argue what you said. The Bucs were rolling right along until that fateful MNF game. That game was like a guy's manhood placed in a vise. Ouch!

The key to that game wasn't the loss itself.  It was the loss of Brian Kelly for the year.   We were kicking the Colts ass all game - until Kelly got hurt.   We didn't have a backup who could replace Kelly the rest of the year.  I don't think it had anything to do with manhood, if Kelly had been able to come back and play the next week, our defense would still have been the best in the NFL.    You are only as strong as your weakest link, and Wansley was unbelievably weak.   The same thing happened this year when Kelly went down, the defense fell apart.

Guys...every one of you missed the boat on this one.  the game to be changed was the 1976 home loss to the Dolphins or Seahawks (we lost by three each time).  At this point, 0-26 never happens and the Bucs' image is changed.

You guys make a great argument for the '79 game but I'm going with '99 NFCCG.  The MNF debacle with the Colts was just a travesty and shouldn't even count on the books as a loss.
