Garcia is a better fit for that Eagle offense than McNabb is. If they are ever going to win a superbowl, it will be this year with Garcia. When McNabb comes back, they go back to choking.
I think a big problem that the Eagles need to figure out is how to be more balanced when McNabb is playing. Â A heard an Eagles fan say it seemed like Reid thinks McNabb can do so much, that they always put the ball in his hands to make plays. Â With Garcia, it's more like Reid pulls it back and also trusts Westbrook to make plays in the running game. Â And really, how can they not get the ball in a guy like Westbrooks hands more often?
Garcia definitely can run this style of offense though, but running more with a guy like Westbrook helps some too.
Still, while one can raise some questions about McNabb's overall play in Philly, I would take him on the Bucs in a heartbeat, at almost any cost. Â You just can't pass up a chance to upgrade to that level of talent at the QB position. Â I'd rather take the chance that he could get over the hump here with different coaches and players, than pass on him.
