Chicago leads the all-time series 35-17, but the Buccaneers have won eight of the last 13 meetings. These teams last met in 2006 in Chicago. The Buccaneers scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but Chicago K Robbie Gould hit a 25- yard field goal to win it for the Bears 34-31 in OT.

Gruden vs Bears
Head Coach Jon Gruden has won three of his five meetings against the Chicago Bears. He won his first meeting against the Bears in his second season with the Raiders, a 24-17 home win in 1999. In his first season as head coach of the Buccaneers, Gruden led the Buccaneers to a 15-0 win over the Bears in the 2002 regular season finale. It marked the Bucs’ team-record 12th win of the season. In 2004, the Buccaneers defeated the Bears 19-7 in Tampa. The Bears won 13-10 in Tampa in 2005 and 34-31 in OT in Chicago in 2006.

Gruden vs Lovie Smith
Met three times before, with the Buccaneers winning 19-7 in 2004 and the Bears winning 13-10 in 2005 and 34-31 in OT in 2006.

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.
