Would rather take the money Peppers would get and the salary of Carter and go after Haynesworth if he is not franchised, as being he was franchised last season he would command a 120% of his current salary for the team to franchise this season would be around 10-11 million for one season the Titans would have to set aside.

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

I think part of his contract for this year is that they weren't allowed to franchise him again this season.

Some team is going to throw stupid money at Peppers, like what San Francisco did with Justin Smith.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Peppers is the only legitimate linemen for carolina in my opinion. The DT's are run stuffers and pep is the rusher. I think he does better for another team next year, carolina doesnt let him loose though.

Greg White and Gaines are pretty good bookends for the future from my seat.

The BUCS are gonna surprise people this year!

not to be anal...but we are 3-1 and with Brady out in NE, The Colts struggling at 1-2, the Cowboys showing that they are beatable, and the Chargers sitting at 2-2......shouldn't we say, "hey maybe we can win a Super Bowl this year?"

Dont get me wrong, I always love looking towards free agency, but remember we are fans of Tampa Bay, where they rarely sign the top free agent.  When was the last time, 2001-Simeon Rice and that was under a different GM..

Peppers has like 4 sakcs in his past 20 games, and we have a very good pass rusher in Greg WHite. Julius Peppers would be low down on the priority list in the offseason

DE is NOT the problem. Its the UT position. We could also use a WR or 2 this offseason.

Not a top need.  Adams and White are damn good. Wilkerson can play inside or out, and causes lots of disruption. If Sims can stay healthy and step it up just a tiny bit, we are set at DL. Just need a little depth, which we can get in the draft.

if anything, we should go after offense...

Kiffin is good enough for us to draft players and then develop them like I think he will do with Adams, Ruud, Hayes, Talib, Jackson, Piscitelli, etc.  I'll admit we could use some help on the D line, but we are doing just fine this year.

I say instead of wasting another draft pick on WR, we sign one in free agency.
