Hindsight is 20/20 but that's a ton of dough guaranteed.  I'm sure his agent sold him hard on taking the 1 year deal given what he obtained for Brees and Pennington.

He might have to wait til '08 to get his payday if Gradkowski solidifies the QB position. He'll have to prove himself to another team before they break the bank on him. But he has shown that he can be successful and frankly, alot of teams are in a desperate need of a good QB that they might take a chance on Simms.

He's definitely going to have to prove himself again to command that kind of money.  He put enough bad stuff on tape in 3 games to raise doubts.

Exactly. 

So many pundits suggested it was BRUCE ALLEN that was SMART by NOT offering up big $$$$ to Simms.  Now we find out that Bruce was ready to sell the farm (so to speak) to get him long term.

All this proves is that we only THINK we know everything that is going on.
