But this article also makes me laugh at all the people(mjs) who constantly guaranteed us that the Bucs would no way, no how offer Simms a big dea until after the 2006 season!!
We got to get better at doing something, and that is what we have to set our focus on and that is something to get better at. That\\\\\\\'s what we are trying to do right now.
I can see Simms as a Cowboy next year.
There's a chance Parcells will retire if the Cowboys flame out this year. I don't see him going there. What about GB?
But he has shown that he can be successful and frankly, alot of teams are in a desperate need of a good QB that they might take a chance on Simms.
Going into the season simms was on the rise and a 5 year deal for 10 million is well below average for a starting nfl qb which he thought he would be.
The deal wasn't for $10 million, he is saying that was the guaranteed money. It was probably a $25 million 5 year deal, which is still on the low side compared to recent deals.
thats what i was trying to say.....too long of a deal and too little money for a guy who was thought to be the starter for awhile, i can understand why he turned it down.
He's also insisting he'll be ready to play by Thanksgiving. Unless Bruce starts laying eggs he'll be rushing back to hold a clipboard.
yeah i doubt he plays this year
