I've been posting about our economic collapse all year. Welcome to the party. It's not because of what Obama might
do.

And if you feel bad about your country because of what a politician says or does, you've got to rethink what
you let affect you. I understand being frustrated and disgusted with our politicians and the system. I'm
right there with you. But the country is still great.

I am not expecting anything out of Obama. Potential is there, IMO, for some very good things, but until I see
stuff happen, I'll remain skeptical. The potential for bad things is there too but I think he'll go centrist and
try to stop all of this partisan bickering.

I still hope that we get open debates in 2012 and a serious 3rd party guy to shake up the system.

He's not bad. I have to read (quickly) more about him. I DID watch him in the debate and liked what I heard.

To be perfectly honest, the only person I felt that had the charisma and policies that excited me was Ventura.
It helps that I went to see him speak and he answered every one of my UFO questions without smirking.

If Reagan was alive today, he'd be shaking his head if he knew his chief of staff was endorsing a candidate that only cares about expanding the size of government to solve everyone's problems. That flies completely in the face of everything Reagan supported.

I just don't see how anybody can support a candidate who has run such a poor campaign. That doesn't mean a vote

Powell is a man of integrity. He is one republican I would have no problem voting for. Like Obama, he has earned each and every accomplishment throughout his lifetime and he is an honest man. McCain repeats lies over and over again in hopes that some fools will believe him. From some of the posts here, it's working.

That's not true.  I was going to vote for Obama.    I wanted a change from the disaster we had in George Bush.  And changing parties in the white house is a bigger change than just changing to another republican.    But this forum convinced me to vote McCain.    It wasn't the McCain supporters who changed my mind, it was the Obama supporters and their vicious attacks against anything and everything that wasn't anti-Republican.   The attacks were so severe and unfair that it caused me to take another look at the situation.   I realized that people voting for Obama are not doing it because they support his views, but rather because they hate Bush so much.   I also realized that was why I would have voted for Obama as well.   So I stepped back and tried to look at things as if Bush had not screwed everything up for 8 years, and i just looked at the candidates themselves.   Strictly comparing McCain's experience and policies to Obama's, it turns out that McCain is a better candidate.     I do think Biden is a better VP candidate than Palin and wish McCain would have chosen a different vp.   But McCain is better qualified to be president than Obama - in my opinion.

Bush was the only logical pick when Kerry was the other option, and McCain is goign to do far less destruction to our country than Obama. SO I, like all others you are speaking about, are just trying to pick the lesser of 2 evils who will do the least damage at the current time given the opponent theyre running against.

I might even suggest that if you voted for Kerry and are voting for Obama that YOU vote for your party and not for your country.

You don't know what you are talking about.   My previous post tells the true story.   I was originally for Obama.   And that's a fact.

I post alot of goofy things like he's a muslim devil and such only because I find it humorous.   I don't believe that.   It's very hard to tell when I'm joking or serious - even for me.   haha.

But in all seriousness, I wanted Obama originally because he would help my credibility with the Indonesians.  And that is where I live.   But this board changed my mind on that for the reasons I previously mentioned.
