^^Yuccs, now you're getting close to spending too much time on things that aren't going to happen...

Sammy - LOL, it actually happened in the Atlanta game when Adams had the pass by Ryan 15 yards away from the LOS for an easy INT but dropped it.

Yeah, you're right about Gaines...should have contributed to Delhomme's INT total as well when Jakey hit him right in the numbers...

On  a side not if you here someone say it was a DOG BLITZ all it means is that instead of sending linebackers on the blitz they are send the safeties on the blitz which is referred to a dog blitz instead of a fire blitz which is linebackers blitzing

I think the pass rush is doing ok. Alot of the QB's we have faced have been smart with the football and get rid of it quickly. Which is tough on any pass rush. I also believe Hovan and Haye need to step up their game, run stuffs are good and all but no push up the middle makes it tough for the ends to get the QB. And also Monte needs to go back how he was calling plays early in the season with the different blitz packages and make the QB think quicker and they will make mistakes I.E. more Interceptions. Id take and INT over a sack any day  ;)

Our ends are getting pressure, but there is nothing comin' from the middle ... and as FRG put it, our LB's are just too small to expect an effective LB blitz.  Ruud might be the only one big enough to do it several times a game, but our MLB is too important to our scheme to risk blitzing him too much.

It's all about the interior right now.  We MUST find a way to do it with our front 4.  Blitzing is fine [occasionally], but we must have better pressure up the middle.

UT has got to be the no.1 priority this next off-season on defense.  For the rest of this season, idk, guess we just need to experiment more and go with the hot hand - IF we can find one.
