PewterReport.com is reporting that Bucs tight end Alex Smith (ankle), who returned to practice Wednesday, is being held out of Thursday's workout at One Buc Place. Safety Jermaine Phillips (forearm) is practicing for the second straight day.

Great news about flip. We sorely needed him in the first half of that game against Minnesota, but no crying over milk that almost spilled.

I don't think Phillips or Smith will play this weekend, it would be great if JP could, but I think at least one more week. Smith is out for sure since he didn't practice today, IMO.
