A player I first shed light on back on 2 Nov 08 is starting to climb draft boards at an alarming rate. Ramses Barden before the college season started was a 5th to 6th rounder. Barden has climbed his way into the third round and with a strong finish and combine could push helpself into the second round. Through 10 games he has totaled 61 receptions for 1,149 yards and 16 touchdowns for Cal Poly. He is averaging 18.83 yards per reception this season. For his career he has amassed 4049 yards, 200 receptions and 48 touchdowns in 45 games and an average of 20.47 yards per catch. Barden averages 4.5 catches 90 yards and 1.06 touchdowns a game throughout his college career.

Barden has 12 100 yard games along with 5 200 yard games.

This is truly a second round prospect

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

I've heard of this guy before. Tall poession recevier a good red zone target who can get YAC. I think they compare him to Plaxico Buress.

He has an All League name - how can you go wrong with a guy named Ramses?  How could you do that to your kid - oops - didn't mean to change the subject..

He doesn't seem to get much separation from those crappy CB's he plays against.

I noticed that too.  For the competition that he is facing I want him to show exceptional separation from them.

2nd round?  I don't think so, but we shall see. My guess is 4th or 5th.

So, an unproven WR from a small school in the 2nd round?  WoW!!  That sounds real familiar...

Barden has actually caught a good number of passes as opposed to our infamous #2.  I'll never understand why Dex in the 2nd.
