Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

On third down with 1 yard needed the Bucs run the football 89% of the time and pass the football 11% of the time, anything more then 1 yard and the Bucs get pass happy as with 2 yards needed the Bucs run the football 31 % of the time and pass the football 69% of the time. If the team need 3 yards to go they throw the football 84% of the time and run it 16% of the time. So by doing the math the Bucs and 3 yards and under to go on third down prefer to throw the ball 54% of the time and run it 46%

Hate the same stats for 2007 on third down with 1 yard to go the Bucs ran the football 65% of the time and passed the football 35% of the time, on third and 2yards to go the Bucs ran the football 39% of the time and passed 61% of the time, on third and 3 the Bucs ran the football 18% of the time and passed the ball 82% of the time. So in 2007 the Bucs the Buc ran the football on thrid and3 or less 41% of the time and passed the football 59% of the time.

It would appear that based off of the stats that Sears has been holding his own in the running game as the Bucs average 5.33 yards per carry running behind him.

Since 2000(9 years) the Buccaneers defense has only allowed 100 total points to be scored in a quarter 1 time over the course of an entire season. Which happened in 2005 during the second quarter of football games. There is no other NFL defense that can boast such a stat over that same 9 year span.
