according to nfldraftcountdown.com they said that his press conference which was held at 12 noon Calvin Johnson told reporters that he is leaving GT to enter into the 2007 NFL draft. Now the big decision is on everybodies minds... with the 3/4 pick in the draft will the bucs draft Joe thomas or Calvin Johnson???

It's true, I was just combing nfldraftcountdown's forum also and there was a thread about his press conference where he declared.

Great, the Bucs draft him, score 30 points a game, and give up 35...

Bucs's defense still > Buc's offense, by a decent margin.

I was hoping he wouldn't declare so the Bucs wouldn't have the chance to take him.

Great news for the buc fans. Ensures us to get Joe Thomas,Gaines Adams or Clavin Johnson.

Typical short-sightedness.

Bucs offense = young and likely to improve..

Bucs defense = undermanned and in decline..

This is what people are missing. Oakland is a virtual lock to take Russell, Detroit will take Gaines, and then the fun begins.

Don't worry... KeepOnBucN'. Just because the fans are dumb enough to want to continue ignoring the defense just to draft ANOTHER first day receiver doesn't mean the Front Office will...

That's pretty much the deal. Some people don't understand that though.

Add me to the list of "dumb fans" then! Besides Gaines there is no defensive player worth taking where we will pick, and with FA being loaded on defense, we can afford to draft BPA in R1.
