Since 1996 the Buccaneers have produced just 3 season where a running back has eclipsed the 1000 yard mark. Counting this season that would be a total of 12 years and only three players who have managed to get a 1000 yards it was done in 1998 by Warrick Dunn(1,026), 2000 by Dunn(1,133) and 2005 by Carnell Williams(1,178).
Dating back to the beginning of the franchise the team has only managed a total 9 season where they have had a back go over a 1,000 yards. There have only been two players every rush for a 1,000 yards or more in back to back seasons i was done by Errict Rhett in 1995 & 1994 with 1,207 and 1,011 yards respectively. Then in 1984 & 1985 by James Wilder with 1,300 yards and 1,544 yards respectively.
The other two players in history to rush for over a 1,00 yards in a season Reggie Cobb in 1992 with 1,171 yards and Ricky Bell in 1979 with 1,263 yards.
Within the players who have posted a 1,000 yard season there has only been 1,200 yards or more done 4 times and 1,300 yards done once and only James Wilder can stake claim to a 1,500 yard season.
The question is weather is has been talent among the stable of backs that have been rotated in and out during the years, inept offensive lines, poor schemes, bad coaching or just an unwillingness to pound the football?

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY
Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money. "Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." Oliver Goldsmith
