Just curious, with all the players that will be at the NFL Experience during the Super Bowl, can anyone EVER remember Tampa Bay hosting a big sports memorabilia show where dozens of sports legends came and did autograph signings?

I'm sick and tired of all the big sports signing shows being up north and having to use mail-order to get Kareem Abdul Jabbar's autograph or Art Monk's.

They had them back in the early 90's.   Not anymore.

I don't think there's an athlete on the planet that I'd pay a single $ to sign an autograph. Even Tiger Woods.

They used to have shows in the early 90's where old time Bucs would show up and sign for free.   Lee Roy Selmon, Doug Williams, Hugh Green, Kevin House, Theo Bell, John Cannon, Jerry Bell, Scot Brantley, James Wilder, etc.    They all used to show up and sign for free.   And there would be very few people there getting signatures!!!!    I remember one year Derrick Brooks signing for free at JC Penny.   I think it was the start of 96 before the season started.   He just sat there by himself most of the time with nobody even asking for an autograph.  It seemed the only ones getting autographs were florida state fans.    We didn't get his autograph, but we talked with him for quite a while since he wasn't busy.   Those days seem to be gone.

as long as people are stupid enough to pay athletes for a signature, they will keep charging...

I've been on this site for years now and that's the first time anyone has done something as immature as posting porn.    It's not surprising it's a Panthers fan.    It's no big deal because I see porn every day.   But I think if this guy's girlfriend found out he was posting her pic on the internet, he'd be looking for a new chick.   She may be unattractive to most of us, but that chick is a catch for a Panther fan, he'd have a tough time topping her.

Well, that's disappointing that they don't do big sports memorabilia shows in Tampa anymore.  I'm really excited b/c the wife and I are flying out to a big autograph show in San Jose in February to meet Darren McFadden and Charles Woodson.
