Curious to what folks think about this one.  Will the Bucs bring back the best offensive player on their team?  This smells alot like Thomas Jones to me... wouldnt we love to have him back.

I'm gonna say No, the Bucs/Allen will not be willing to pay the big $$ its gonna take to land Bryant.

"there are no medals here for who can stay at the office the longest," said Jagodzinski. "I'm not into that. The guys that brag about working till 2 in the morning, in my opinion, they're just not smart enough. "

18,2,25,13 ... murderers row?

I support coach Calhoun and his salary

I hope the Bucs FO is smart enough to lock up the only playmaker this team has on offense. If not, it will send a clear message of cheapness to Bucs fans.

Need to sign Antonio now. Not wait until he 'tests the market' and signs with Miami at 12:01AM.

I believe there will be a major turnover in the roster in 2009, but I believe Bryant will still have his name on it.

I guess having another thread on it will make his chances of resigning that much greater...

The question is, does he want to be a Buccaneer next year? His comments to Mike Clayton that were overheard by the media speak volumes as to the level of frustration some players are feeling with our offensive schemes and philosophy. I for one hope like hell the guy comes back. He's risen to the top tier of my favorite Buccaneers list.

"One of the reasons you want to get some room under the salary cap is so you can extend your own players into the future," Allen said. "...We've had some dialogue with some of those players and we'll continue to do that."

I take BA at his word and say yes...

Here is the full piece....

ATLANTA - Bucs receiver Antonio Bryant had nearly reached the losing locker room at the Georgia Dome when he turned around and headed back toward the field where the Bucs lost in overtime to the Falcons for no good reason. He paced back and forth. Teammate Michael Clayton ran him down. Bryant slapped at a box.

It was more than the fact that Bryant caught seven balls for 106 yards in the first half and just one for two yards after that.

"Why do we have to play scared?" Bryant said. "There ain't nothing to be afraid of."

If he can shut his mouth, and not burn any bridges between now and then, I think he will be back.
