I love Welker, but he doesn't really fit Gruden's MO for receivers. He'd give us a legit return threat, though.

I really think the best FA WR on the list for the Bucs is Ernest Wilford.
Well Joey Galloway isn't tall.  Welker is what Mark Jones is supposed to be, he returns both K and P and can catch passes too.  I don't think any system looks for short recievers, but you have to account for Welker when he is on the field because he knows how to get open.

Gruden has proven that he may covet players of a prototypical size or athletical ability but ultimately he wants players that can play in his offense.

Galloway is not a prototype for Gruden's offense but Gruden seems to find a way to use him.  Carnell is not a prototype for Gruden's offense either but he seems comfortable using him as well.

Wes Walker is like the opposite of Galloway/Clayton in that he catches every pass that is thrown his way (he is up there in terms of having the fewest drops in all of the NFL).

Patrick Crayton   6-0     205        Restricted      Dallas

Anybody know what pick we would have to give up to get him? IMO, he is a star in the making.

Turner is amazing but I think the Chargers put the highest tender on him. Might be worth surrendering that draft pick for him since the Bucs have an extra day one draft pick.

Max tender is a first and a third, so we'd pretty much have to negotiate a trade if we wanted him.  I think the Chargers will want too much to make it worth our while though.

Turner will be a great running back when he leaves San Diego. A 1st and a 3rd would be worth it for some teams like the Jets and Packers, but not us because we have the Lac.

Depends on how they tender him, of course, but he was only a 7th round pick.

3-4 I like:
Barnes
Shaun McDonald (once ran a 4.38 40) as a sleeper speedy WR.
Graham / Stevens
Jordan Black (Boid will get this joke)

We need to land a center, draft or FA, it's a must!
