If ND is going to join a conference, it'd be a presitigious one, not a junior varsity one.Big East has been dreamin of ND joinin for a while. Won't happen.Notre Dame is in the Big East already for basketball so joining for football makes sense. Unless there is another major conference overhaul that would be the conference they join for football. My bet is they don't join any conference until the TV contract well dries up.Big East wouldn't be a big enough help to their football team. And your'e right about the TV contract.

Notre Dame has a TV contract because it could make NBC money. How is that the same as paying players/recruits? Not sure what your vendetta against that school is all about. Did they not accept your application or something?

Football is a game, not a popularity contest of the who's who and the rich and elite.

Wow, great tradition when for years they annointed a champion, even if they lost their bowl game. Championships was based upon regular season, and VOTES!! Now they annoint a champion even when there are probably other teams that could beat them. College Football is definitely a sport where it's not how you finish a season, it's how you start it...in the polls. PAthetic. We vote for political office, we play the game to decide champions.
