Vikings game may be blacked-out

Unless the Vikings sell 3,100 more tickets by Saturday 4:30pm EDT. They face a blackout of a playoff game.

It will come down to the wire. 11,000 were unsold as of Wednesday, 8,000 on Thursday. As the deadline got closer, it **CENSORED**ed enough fans to buy up a bunch in a hurry and 5,000 were sold on Friday. But they still need to sell 3,100 and most are in the upper price brackets.

The NFL is learning the limits of its dynasty. You can sell out every game for the national teams, but get to the lower half of the league in terms of popularity and it can be an issue.

Isnt it horribly snowed in in Minnesota? Thats not fair that locals wont see the game. I cant imagine how desirable it would be to be in jammed, stuffed traffic in freezing conditions.

Looks like it will come down to the wire.  The ticket situation as of this morning was that 3100 needed to be sold by 3:30 this afternoon.  I'm guessing the local TV affiliate buys whatever is left at the last minute so the game will be on TV; as I recall that's happened in other similar situations around the country the last few years.
