Lies?  Really?  Can you truth us?  With a link to credible sources?  Or do you listen/read too much Mike Bianchi, Rick Stroud, Roy Cummings?

Frankly, I don't know what is or isn't truthful.  I don't work inside the confines of OBP.  But if you do and have credible info, spill it for us all to become enlightened.

Thanks in advance.

Yada, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah. He actually admited to "creative" cap management. He said "we carried over money under cap"  to next year, which cannot be done except with bogus not likely to be reached incentives. What a snake.

What are you talking about? You can always carry money over from year to year if you don't spend it.

Once more--NO YOU CAN'T!! Look it up. Under the cap one year you lose it the next yesr. IT DOES NOT ROLL OVER and never has. Geez!! If the cap is say 120 million and you are 20 million under and only spend 100 million you can not spend up to 140 million the next year. The cap is the cap and you can't make it higher with money saved from the previous year. Big football experts!!

You can't roll money over from the cap year over year.  But....you can if you locked up part of the previous years cap in Likely to be Earned (LTBE) incentives.  For example, if Garcia's cap number in 2008 is $5M but $1M of that was based on a LTBE of say, the team making the play offs, you can roll that $1M into next year.  The Bucs were "charged" with it in 08 but didn't use it, so his new 08 cap number is $4M and the 09 cap is now X+$1M.

Curt is correct - the LTBE but not earned can be rolled into the cap for the following year - and it is regularly.

Regarding the QB position, Allen said "We're going to make sure we give the quarterback position the proper attention," and he made a point to reference some of the first-round picks that are playing QB for playoff teams right now. "We want to look for solutions for problems at the position, and we have a pretty good idea of what those solutions might be this offseason, but now is not the right time to talk about it."

sounds like we might be going QB in round 1.

Wasn't our last 1st round QB Geno torretta?

Man, that sure didn't work out. What are odds we get another bust like that?

Unofficially they Can. If they just don't SPEND the money, they'll have it next year. There are no rules (as far as I know) that keep a team from saving money for the next years draft. They many not put it on the paperwork, but It CAN be carried over in other ways. Esp if you're running out of money....
