Never was a fan of Malcolm Jenkins. He was overrated at OSU just like Alex Boone.

Jenkins is good not overrated at all, Laurinitus is the most overrated Buckeye with Boone a close 2nd.

Was hoping he might slide and be an opportunity for us @ 19, but no chance now.  The good news is that hopefully that means one more good player on the board for us.

Your new #1 cornerback after Malcolm Jenkins ran an Antrel Rolle-like 40.

Top-rated cornerback Malcolm Jenkins ran disappointing times in the 40-yard dashes Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine and is in danger of falling out of the draft's top 10 in April.

Jenkins, an Ohio State product, ran anywhere from a 4.55 to 4.59 on most watches in his first attempt at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis. He improved on his second 40, running a 4.52 or 4.53.

Coming into the combine, scouts were concerned about Jenkins' speed and felt he needed to run in the mid-4.4s to cement his status as the top cornerback. Some teams will now start to look at Jenkins as more of a safety since they feel he lacks top-end cornerback speed.

Jenkins will have another chance in the 40 on his pro day in Columbus, Ohio, on March 13. The track in Columbus is notoriously fast and scouts may add one-tenth of a second to his time to balance it out.

Illinois' Vontae Davis, considered the No. 2 cornerback coming into the combine, ran in the mid-4.3s on Tuesday.

So because "YOU" assume he won't get drafted where he is "PROJECTED" he is overrated,has nothing to do with his play huh?Interesting.

His play was the basis for me thinking he was overrated, if that's what your asking.  His 40 time didn't change my opinion of his play.

We'll see where he gets drafted, what position he plays, and how he does in the NFL.

That happens every year to top prospects,Draft Gurus build them up just to break them down.What makes him overrated to you his 40 time?

The fact that he won't be a top-10 selection at corner, for one thing.  Because that's what he was RATED...hence being OVERrated.

What metrics for performance are you using there?  Those were some damned fine, productive college players.

What's with the 4.5's? Guess that means every CB in this draft is being converted to safeties.
