The Bucs have named former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski as the team's offensive coordinator. Jagodzinski was fired from his Boston College post for interviewing with the New York Jets earlier this month.Jagodzinski has NFL experience, coaching Green Bay's tight ends in 1999 under Ray Rhodes. He coached with the Packers until 2003 when he became Atlanta's offensive line coach where he studied the zone blocking concepts from Alex Gibbs, a noted NFL offensive line guru.In 2006, Jagodzinski was hired by Mike McCarthy to replace Tom Rossley as the Packers offensive coordinator. That was the only year Jagodzinski served as an NFL offensive coordinator. In 2007, he became the Boston College head coach, replacing Tom O'Brien, and coached the likes of QB Matt Ryan, OT Gosder Cherilus and DTs B.J. Raji and Ron Brace.PewterReport.com will have more on this story later this afternoon.
Why only local media reporting this? Interesting
Nice hire... gotta say I am happy with Raheem's staff.
Hoepfully, this can put an end to griping
Yucc wouldn't a break down of Green Bays offense during the 2006 season give us a better idea of what his play calling tendencies will be like on the pro level?
Do we have the o-line to fit this scheme?...Are we going to have to cut some guys for some smaller, quicker line-man?
Maybe this time we'll get to see a version of the WCO that actually works.
