Well atleast we know that FSU could take the ACC title next year while BC cries about losing their coach to the Bucs. Im just glad we FINALLY have someone who doesnt (possibly could) have an offensive "guru" ego labeled over their head and get the right guys and personel on the field to win us the games. I hope they focus 75% of the offense this off-season on the Red Zone and how to get TOUCHDOWNS and not field goals.

The Bucs have named former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski as the team's offensive coordinator. Jagodzinski was fired from his Boston College post for interviewing with the New York Jets earlier this month.

Jagodzinski has NFL experience, coaching Green Bay's tight ends in 1999 under Ray Rhodes. He coached with the Packers until 2003 when he became Atlanta's offensive line coach where he studied the zone blocking concepts from Alex Gibbs, a noted NFL offensive line guru.

In 2006, Jagodzinski was hired by Mike McCarthy to replace Tom Rossley as the Packers offensive coordinator. That was the only year Jagodzinski served as an NFL offensive coordinator. In 2007, he became the Boston College head coach, replacing Tom O'Brien, and coached the likes of QB Matt Ryan, OT Gosder Cherilus and DTs B.J. Raji and Ron Brace.

PewterReport.com will have more on this story later this afternoon.

If the Glazers pull this off, Hiring no experienced GM/HC/OC, and make this a Championship caliber team. Then they'll will be the smartest football people and will have to go down as the greatest owners in NFL history.  People it's just not adding up.  PR groupl are these really the people you were hoping or thinking they should hire?  I'm curious to know what you think.

Maybe this time we'll get to see a version of the WCO that actually works.

Nice hire... gotta say I am happy with Raheem's staff.

"there are no medals here for who can stay at the office the longest," said Jagodzinski. "I'm not into that. The guys that brag about working till 2 in the morning, in my opinion, they're just not smart enough. "

18,2,25,13 ... murderers row?

I support coach Calhoun and his salary

Having Joe Barry return is great, hiring Jim Bates is wonderful, Mangurian I like, Jags I don't know enough about but it certainly seems on the surface like a good hire, so let's get this thing rolling!

Yucc wouldn't a break down of Green Bays offense during the 2006 season give us a better idea of what his play calling tendencies will be like on the pro level?

Do we have the o-line to fit this scheme?...Are we going to have to cut some guys for some smaller, quicker line-man?

No, he didn't call plays for the Packers. McCarthy did.

Penn, Zuttah, Faine, Sears, and even Joseph are athletic enough. Only Trueblood isn't.

In Gruden's defense, though, many times the plays were there to be made and the players (mostly QB) couldn't make them. That was pointed out time and again by Rich Gannon in the Oakland game. I also remember a wide open Clayton (I know, hard to believe) in the end zone and Garcia threw it behind him. Not to mention times that Bryant was open downfield and Garcia couldn't hit him.
Just saying it wasn't all Gruden's fault with his offensive schemes.

is that something that Mangurian can develop or are True's days numbered due to his lack of ZB effectiveness?

The staff is really coming together. Next they need to get the players during free agency.
