No! not Grossman. His best season as a pro was up and down. Very inconsistent. One game he would have a qb rating of a 100 or higher than the next game he would have a qb rating of 5. He was erratic at times. Grossman is a streaky player when he is hot he is damn good, when hes cold his play is terrible

Here is his game logs from the 06 season. Notice the inconsistencies

week 1 98.6
week 2 148.0
week 3 64.9
week 4 100.5
week 5 101.2
week 6 10.2
week 7
week 8 137.4
week 9 36.8
week 10  105.7
week 11 81.4
week12  23.7
week 13 1.3
week 14 114.4
week 15 104.3
week 16 80.4
week 17- 0

Sign Grossman or start Josh we have to get a young QB.

Ew. Grossman, no thanks. I think I liked it better when people were all about Hasselback. Heck, I'd rather have McCown or Garcia QB.

That's just a total step down imo.  [banghead]

never thought i would say this but if we drafted a qb i would be ok with rex for a year or two...he has the arm for a vertical game.

Or we could use him to develop Josh, who knows yet.

IMO, this hire means the bucs are thinking young qb. Someone who has experience and proven success. How much of Matt Ryan's NFL development can be credited to Zag? Who knows, but his experience with Ryan could not hurt our qb situation.

The question is; Which QB are we going to get?

The thing that worries me the most is us drafting a qb just for the sake of getting a young qb. It's kind of like buying a house - you better make SURE that you can live with it for at least 5 or 6 years. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would rather go through a mediocre season with McCown or Johnson this year unless the staff is 100% sold on one of these guys. Next year should be a blue chip class coming out. I know it's always crap shoot, but I'd much rather take that chance when the deck is stacked.

Im thinking either Josh Freeman or Rhett Bomar. I personally think that we should wait for next years draft for a qb, trade up if we must. These qbs are fairly weak in my opinion, but I don't think anyone would not be excited if they did draft a young guy early.

It would be nice to have someone that seems more eager to work with a young quarterback,
and this is not a slam of Gruden's preferences--it is simply just a point of view.

Bomar will likely be available far later than Freeman, so we could address DL early if that's the plan

This may be a stupid question but I haven't heard much about him. How does everyone feel about Chase Daniel?

Chase Daniels? No thanks. I'd rather stick with JJ than draft a late round QB now since Jags is the OC.
