This may be a stupid question but I haven't heard much about him. How does everyone feel about Chase Daniel?

Not stupid, I thought about it as well. He's definitely going to be hurt by his height and the offense he ran. Plus he looked erratic at times. But, generally I'm with CJ. If we're going to spend a pick on a QB we may as well go all in and spend a 1st or 2nd on one they like or pass completely.

he would be better than McClown or Josh Johnson.

Did someone just mention Rhett Bomar? Guy has some serious delivery issues, he'd be a Simms type pick all over again.

starting to warm up to the idea of drafting freeman @19.  he might go before sanchez after his workouts.

Freeman is probably the pick, Morris knows him personally and he has potential to be an awesome QB. Hopefully he is committed to being that and not just in it for the money.

Take Freeman @19  and  finally  get that  out of the way.         I'm  happy we have a Offensive Coordinator  I think this is all we really needed the past 7 years.       I think we are going to score touchdowns...   lots of them.

I think Freeman is the lock if we go QB. Hiring Jags only increases that, Freeman is a perfect fit for his offense.

at #19, it's not really up to them whether they get a QB or not, and at #51 or so, i'm not sure who's a real option to start as a rookie vs NFL defenders...you can't just wish somebody into being a franchise QB, if the right guy is not there, you don't throw away your top picks on a prayer.

i think there's still a strong likelihood that 2009 sees a placeholder QB starting for the bucs, but it's possible that Jags creates a system that either makes 2010 the possible year of Josh Johnson or at least a system that helps a rookie QB we draft at that point transition into the NFL more easily.....

The thing that worries me the most is us drafting a qb just for the sake of getting a young qb. It's kind of like buying a house - you better make SURE that you can live with it for at least 5 or 6 years. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would rather go through a mediocre season with McCown or Johnson this year unless the staff is 100% sold on one of these guys. Next year should be a blue chip class coming out. I know it's always crap shoot, but I'd much rather take that chance when the deck is stacked.

great post.
