FSU's Preston Parker is GONE

FSU has dismissed Preston Parker for his third strike - a DUI arrest and presumptive positive marajuana urine test.

I'm a FSU fan and alum and think he should have been gone after his gun arrest in Miami and an really glad to see him off the team.  I think three chances is about 2 too many when the school is more or less sponsoring your 3-4 year tryout for the NFL.

Good riddance to a real idiot.

I assume he will "officially" declare for the draft (what a joke) and some team will take a flyer on him on the second day.

Good to see Jimbo is trying to clean up the program.

Bobby is still the coach, and really to be honest it is a mandatory policy of the Athletics Department.  The only positive is that Bobby didn't "wait for all the facts and due process" first, he just whacked the player.

Wish I could say it was Jimbo, andmaybe Jimbo told Bobby that he wanted Parker gone, but that will never hit the press of course.

Hmm..wonder if they are trying to sway Debose from UF with this "move?"  Of are they trying to show the NCAA they are "tough" in hopes of lesser sanctions from the pending Cheating scandal?

No matter the reasoning, hope the kid gets his act together but agree it was time for him to go.  IMO he'd be best off going somewhere else and getting his priorities in line, improve his play, rather than try for the NFL.
