It will be interesting to see how well the Bucs handle the contract side of things now that BA is gone. Say what you will about his personnel decisions but Allen's ability to get contracts done with rookies and free agents that where viewed as fair and cap friendly was a huge asset the last few years. I'm sure agents will want to test the new guys to see if they can get a few extra dollars out of them.

Really the quintessential question, Johnm. What is almost as significant as the $ is the time necessary to lock up these deals so as to focus on other weaknesses.
The Bucs need to get Penn, Bryant, Phillips and PBuc done so they can work on the WR, DT and DE weaknesses. There won't be a lot of time so Dominik has his work cut out for him.

HAHAHA.

Allen wasn't a money-savy person...He was a penny-pincher that didn't spend.

ANYONE could clean up a bad cap if they JUST don't SPEND. It's super-simple, the guy just didn't spend...period

I think tha executive that was handling most if not all contract negotiations was Kevin Demoff, which would explain why most in the NFL community feel losing him was bigger then the team firing Bruce Allen

Bingo. A past PR issue covers this well.

Eh, the market largely sets players' values. If Dominik ends up giving a player another $1-2 million over the life of their contract, it's not a big deal. The bigger issue is making sure we have the right players to give money to.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.
