Because the Bucs have zero elite talent on this team. Nice players yes, elite? No.  You tell me what elite players the other teams in our division have then tell me who the Bucs have. You may be ok with waiting 5 years for a playoff team but i'm not.

I'd be ok with this. There are players in the league that have done worse than Vick getting second chances. He's a good guy who made some bad mistakes mainly who he decided to hang out with.

People have completely overlooked the fact that Haynesworth essentially tried to kill someone on the field a few years ago -- it's interesting that there is still such an extreme hatred/disgust of Vick.

Gaines Adams, Barrett Ruud, Aqib Talib, Sabby Picitelli, Tanard Jackson, Antonio Bryant, Davin Joseph, and Jeff Faine are all elite in talent. Do the Panthers have more talent? Yes. But the other 2 are questionable. Unless you think Reggie Bush is the best player in the NFL(which isnt unlikely looking at what thread we are talking in).

None of those listed players qualifies as elite talent.  Even remotely.  An elite talent is a franchise player that everyone in the league wants on their team.  A Steve Smith.  A Drew Brees.  A Tom Brady.  An Antonio Gates.  For years, we had one in Derrick Brooks.  Now, we clearly have no elite players.  We have a lot of talented guys, but the previous poster was 100% correct in saying we have no elite talent left.
