He's a soldier!

Welcome to Tampa Kellen.

That move should sell some jerseys.

heard it on espn radio..

Though Jags is the OC, he learned a lot from Logan while at ECU.  They really utilized the TEs as receivers back then and at least 2 of them were drafted.

Totally pysched about this trade and look forward to a very different offense.

I wanted Winslow since the draft he came out in 2004.  We weren't high enough to grab him obviously.  Now that his issues are behind him and he's healthy, the guy can flat out play.  I love our TE's, but we don't have one as all around as Winslow and as dynamic a playmaker.  Stevens is good and I liked him in Tampa, but Winslow is a different class of TE.  Very happy with the move as Jags loves to use the TE in his offense.   Winslow will look fantastic in pewter.

Kind of out of the blue too.  FA can be unpredictable.

While this won't cure all the fans' ills, it shows that there are other vehicles for player acquisition than straight out signings.

Thanks, Jim. I guess this is the trade rumor I was tipped on. Good to see it come through.

Clevelands on the West Coast?

I'm headed to Cali in 2 weeks, maybe I'll visit.

Excellent acquisition. I still wanna see what draft picks we gave up, though.

The BUc need a wideout more.  They need a backup QB as well.  They need Linebackers in the worst way.  They need another RB.

I guess we don't "need" a TE anymore.

Just leave the staph and your motorcycle, and your mouth in Cleveland.

Bucs trade for TE Winslow

Posted: Adam Schefter | Adam Schefter | Tags: Cleveland Browns, Kellen Winslow, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay just completed a trade for tight end Kellen Winslow for undisclosed draft picks.

“The Cleveland Browns thank Kellen for his contributions to this organization over the past five years,” said Browns General Manager George Kokinis. “We appreciate his passion for the game and wish him success in Tampa Bay. The draft picks we have obtained through this deal will give us greater flexibility as we look to infuse more talent and create competition and depth on this football team.”

The Buccaneers, who made some moves this week, needed to create a stir. Bringing in Winslow will create some excitement in Tampa Bay.

Now the Browns have to make a decision on Braylon Edwards, who also wanted a new contract. Now the Browns must decide whether to extend Edwards’ contract or trade him.

Would of liked Braylin instead

Sure he gets a new contract as he's wanted one....Glad to see he's a Buc now...good hands and can be a good playmaker alongside Bryant...I'm excited about this trade....News conference at 1:15

Bucs have called a 1:15 PC per SPT to announce the transaction.  Should know compensation at that point.
