And for the record, I love Winslow and his intensity... but damn!!!

K2 is the most talented player on the Buccaneers as we sit here today.

The answer is Winslow.

Because everyone knows your high draft picks are sure fire playmakers.

Winslow, but it's tough. I really liked Stevens' game, and that 2nd would have been nice to have. But, the bottomline is that K2 is a top 3 TE in the league and may do some serious damage in the new offense.

Well and Stevens is basically a bag of rocks., His career production is about 30 catches per season, 45 is his high. He's a nothing and a nobody. He fools people becuase:

1. He was an R1 pick
2. He's really tall

Oddly his play doesn't match either of those conditions so I don't know why those two things keep sucking guys in.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

2nd round pick for a TE?

haha...

and no Winslow is a top 10 TE...arguably top 5.

Good pick up and I'm excited about it...but a 2nd round pick for a TE?

Solid move I guess...but its not like Cleveland is upset with getting a 2nd round pick

Thank God the ones who made that error are no longer here.

I love K2's game but his knees are a concern AND is he THAT much of an upgrade over an underused Stevens?

I like both, Winslow more. Stevens is a weapon in the red zone with his height and athleticism. He's made some clutch plays for us over the past few years. I would love to have them both, at the expense of either of our other TEs (Gilmoure and Smith)

Stevens in 100 games:
174 rec, 2044 yards, 21 TD

Winslow in 44 games:
219 rec, 2459 yards, 11 TDs

Yes, he really is that much of an upgrade.

Hard to argue that...

Actually though, that's what sways me. We get real enamored with the draft, but the reality is a lot of 2nd round picks are just not that great. You either get Ruud or Dex. K2 is not much of a gamble if (and I believe he has) he's cleared up his off the field issues.

Winslow isn't a great blocker, but he is better than Stevens.  Winslow is much better with the ball after he gets it.  Winslow was a #6 overall selection, the guy is extremely talented.

I'd take Kellen Winslow if he was available at #50, and give up next years 5th to do it.  The guy is 25 years old.  The best TE in the draft this year is 24 years old, and will be long gone before our 2nd rounder rolls around.

I love the deal.

Duemig was ranting today that Winslow was a risky pickup because of his "me" personality.
