Did I miss this?  Are we offering this guy a $30 million contract or something?  What could hurt in taking a look at a guy who was the best player on a line that ran all over us a few months ago?

I understand bringing in a guard, depth is never a bad thing but we brought Cooper in last year. Dominick probably has a fair idea of what he brings to the table already.....

Hey, don't get me wrong...I think Carlisle is a great player and have watched him since college.  Nobody likes him more than me.

That being said, we have 2 solid guards.  

I just don't get why we are going after spots that aren't as 'needy'.  We gave up a 2nd rounder for a talented but off-injured TE, and Philly gave up a 5th rounder for a talented yet oft-inured CB.  Which would you have rather done?  I'd have taken Lito all day over Winslow, and no it has nothing to do with where they went to school.  Now we are going after a Guard?  Why?

Winslow is head and shoulders above the rest of the Bucs TE personnel. And yes, a playmaker on offense WAS a big area of need. Guard? Not so much. But there's no harm in taking a look, particularly when you have a brand new OL coach and OC.
