ahhhh, more proof that DA ROOKIES have DA PLAN ........ it is becoming ever more clear that DA PLAN is for some other team and not the Bucs who desperately need to fill holes on Dline, get an NFL caliber QB, RB, WR, and get experienced LBs.  Oh well, what can you expect from a Rookie HC and GM?

Did I miss this?  Are we offering this guy a $30 million contract or something?  What could hurt in taking a look at a guy who was the best player on a line that ran all over us a few months ago?

True, but was that a reflection of a great offensive line or glaring needs on the Bucs D, which haven't been resolved as yet?

So far, they've done well. They've assembled a good mix of coaches and have formed a solid staff. They've cut loose some aging vets. They've moved to retain their starting LOT, they've locked up a young QB who they think can be at least a solid backup and possibly compete for the starting slot, they've re-signed a DT they really like and who will be big in the 4 DT rotation under Coach Bates, they've locked up one of the top WR's in the league and the top potential FA WR heading into free agency, and they've traded for one of the top 3 TE's in the entire league and in the process added a much-needed offensive threat to go with Antonio Bryant.

Of course for you, I'm sure none of that counts.

Because he isn't?

Have you watched the guy play recently?  The article UFOJOE cited in the Winslow trade thread pretty much sums it up.

Of course, even going off stats he isn't......unless you think 423 yards, 3 TD and 10 ypc is top 3.

LOL.

Winslow was not brought in to fill a hole. He was brought in as a weapon, yes a weapon!!! I keeep hearing people say we dont need a TE, and yes you are right we dont need a TE but we do need a playmaker and he is diff. that!!!!

Filling holes is nice. Adding a playmaker is better.

My question is have you? He was injured this year and when he was healthy he was playing well. 2007 he had the top te numbers in the league. God you make no sense, Tom Brady had **CENSORED**ty numbers last year too!

He had a staph infection last season....

along with Joe Jurevicious, LeCharles Bentley and every other brown.

Look at his '07 stats bro.

Or the Bronco game a few months ago when he was healthy.

This guy is a stud. A safety valve for McCown, and someone to take pressure of AB.

He is way to locked in to what he believes is right. This guy won't admit he's wrong until Winslow has 10 receiving td's next year.

Isn't being healthy a part of football?

With Winslow, that is a BIG if.

I make no sense because I think a guy who has clearly lost a stop, is oft-injured (44 games played in 5 years) and can't block anymore is not a top 3 TE?

That's funny.

Tom Brady hasn't been injured nearly half his career, and didn't damage a part of his body that is crucial to his success.  A huge part of Winslow's game is predicated on speed, and he no longer has that.  Add in the shoulder woes and inability to drive off the knees, and he is a average to below blocker.

If Brady had 4 surgeries on his arm, you might have a comparison. Outside of that you don't.
