Vick was running down the sidelines and got knocked out of bounds by a Giants defender (clean hit). Vick got up and ran toward the guy that hit him like he was going to wrestle with him and a brawl insued.

You can get a penalty for blowing on Vick. If someone had hurt Vick like Simms got hurt the referee would have SHOT the guy that hit him. I hate that he usually gets special officiating!

 I saw it replayed 4x. It was clearly a late hit. The guy was flying in and basically made no attempt to pull up.

 He was at a full sprint, but he definitely could have pulled up...instead he clocked him. Vick had just been knocked out and was about 3' inside the sideline.

 It was a good call.

It WAS clearly a late hit, however, too much was made of it. How do you expect Antonio Pierce to pull up there? He was running full speed, because of course you have to run full speed to get an angle on Vick, and then Vick takes a half step towards going out of bounds and Pierce creams him. Late hit? Yes. Dirty hit? Not even close. The Falcons players, coachs, Vick, and the game announcers made WAY too much of this hit. How do you expect a guy to catch Vick witout running full sppeed, and still expect them to be able to pull up when they reach Vick a half step out of bounds?

It was a late hit, and Pierce could have pulled up, but he didn't.  And that is what defensive coordinators are going to allow when they look at the game film.  The very next play Vick had an opportunity to run, but opted to pass it off to his check.  Vick will not be playing in this league for long because he will not stop running to the sidelines, and players are fed up with him getting all the attention.  He got nailed today and whether Mora likes it or not, that is going to be a trend in this league.
