Anybody that watched Crabtree play at Texas Tech and still needs to watch him run on a track to be convinced he can play needs their head examined.

Again, think Michael Clayton.  Speed isn't as big a necessity in college as it is in the pros.  He's barely 6 feet, and his speed is a big question mark.  He doesn't run, his stock drops.

If Crabtree falls to 19 the Bucs should not hestitate to make the pick.  With a talent like Crabtree you go best available and not with an inferior talent at a position of need.  Imagine the following for 2009 and beyond:

WR-Antonio Bryant, Michael Clayton, Michael Crabtree
TE- Kellen Winslow, Alex Smith, John Gilmore
HB-Derrick Ward, Cadillac Williams, Clifton Smith
HB/FB-Earnest Graham
FB-B.J. Askew

These skill players would aid in the development of either Luke McCowan or Josh Johnson.  They along the offensive line would be very attractive. We have some excellent pieces on offense with the exception of proven quality QB that would make us relevant.

Crabtree is more of a Fitzgerald type.  Reggie Wayne is more of a speedy guy where as Fitz and Crabtree are "game speed" guys.  They don't run a fast 40, but on the field is a "bird of pray" situation, no one is faster.  Crabtree like Fitz is a good route runner and has exceptional hands.  I think a more favorable comparison for Wayne is Calvin Johnson.
